Bacteriostatic Water

Sterile water preserved with 0.9% benzyl alcohol. It is the standard diluent for reconstituting freeze dried research peptides, and the preservative is what lets a mixed vial be used more than once across its refrigerated shelf life.

Goal of the protocol. Serve as the sterile diluent that turns freeze-dried peptide powder into an injectable solution.

Add the water slowly down the inside wall of the vial. Do not blast the stream straight onto the powder. Swirl gently and do not shake. Keep the mixed vial in the fridge at 2 to 8 °C. Use the calculator to size your water to any vial.
