Ipamorelin timeline: what research and user reports show

Ipamorelin is a selective ghrelin-receptor secretagogue, and it is generally reported as producing fewer side effects than older peptides in the same class, since it is more selective for growth hormone release without strongly triggering appetite or cortisol.

Not usage instructions. This is a summary of published research and publicly reported research community experience. It is not a protocol, not medical advice and not a recommendation to start, stop or adjust anything.

Weeks 1 to 2: settling in

Mild injection-site reactions are the most commonly reported early note, generally described as brief. Sleep quality is the earliest change most people report noticing, in line with growth hormone's link to slow-wave sleep.

Weeks 3 to 8: recovery and composition

Reports increasingly describe faster recovery between training sessions and gradual changes in body composition. As with other secretagogues, this builds slowly rather than showing up as a single noticeable jump.

Common questions

Why is Ipamorelin often described as gentler than GHRP-6? It is more selective for the ghrelin receptor tied to growth hormone release, without strongly stimulating appetite or cortisol the way older GHRPs are reported to. Is it commonly paired with anything? It is frequently discussed alongside CJC-1295, which targets the same pathway through a separate receptor. See our CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin timeline for that combination.
