Where a value is not established in people, this table says so rather than filling the box.

Dihexa is a synthetic angiotensin IV analog engineered for stability and brain penetration. It was developed at Washington State University and studied as a potential procognitive and anti-dementia agent.

How Dihexa works

Dihexa is thought to work by activating the hepatocyte growth factor and its c-Met receptor system, which drives formation of new synapses. This action is proposed to strengthen learning and memory circuits and to counter damage seen in neurodegeneration. Reported potency is very high at low amounts. All of this comes from laboratory work, and there are no published human trials.

Benefits and side effects in the research

There are no published human trials, so the evidence base is early research only and human safety is unestablished.

Potential benefits
  • Studied for promoting new synaptic connections tied to learning
  • Explored as a potential support for memory and cognition
  • Reported to be highly potent at low amounts
  • Designed to reach the brain and resist rapid breakdown
Reported side effects
  • The human side-effect profile is essentially unknown, since there are no clinical trials
  • Theoretical concern that HGF and c-Met activation could influence abnormal cell growth
  • Possible headache or overstimulation reported anecdotally
  • Purity and dosing of research-grade material vary widely

A summary of the research, not medical advice. Individual benefits and risks vary, and for some of these compounds the human evidence is still early.

Dihexa is a newer research compound with limited human data. Reports of cognitive changes, where they exist, generally describe a slower buildup over several weeks rather than an acute effect, and the evidence base is notably thinner than for older nootropic peptides.

Suppliers are listed alphabetically. We do not rank them by price, because the cheapest vial and the one worth buying are rarely the same thing. The column that matters is the last one, and today most of it reads "none on file", including for Quartz Peptides, which is owned by this site’s editor. See the disclosure and the COA guide.

Storage

Lyophilized: Keep the sealed powder cold and dark, near -20 °C, dry and out of light.
Reconstituted: Refrigerate the mixed vial at 2 to 8 °C and use within about 2 weeks.
Let a cold vial reach room temperature before you open it, so it takes on less condensation.

Common questions
How strong is the evidence for Dihexa?

We grade it D on a four-point scale. No published human trials. Human safety is unestablished.

What is the half-life of Dihexa?

It is not well characterized in humans. Published pharmacokinetic data for Dihexa is thin, so any specific figure you see quoted should be treated with caution.

What amount of Dihexa is used in the research?

Ongoing: 5–20 mg daily (no human data). There is no human dosing data. These figures are community lore only.

How much does Dihexa cost?

A 5 mg vial lists at $129 from BioEdge Research Labs, which works out to $25.80 per mg and about $206 per dose at the amount used in research. Prices checked September 4, 2026. Price is not a quality signal, so check the certificate of analysis before ordering from anyone.

How is Dihexa stored once reconstituted?

Refrigerate the mixed vial at 2 to 8 °C and use within about 2 weeks.
